The Norfolk Island Media



Norfolk Island boasts two weekly newspapers a 24-hour radio station,  24-hour Television broadcast and two Internet Service Providers.  In addition, satellite television reception is available commercially.

Norfolk Island's weekly newspaper - The Norfolk Islander - was founded in by Tom and the late "Tim" Lloyd in 1965.  Jonathon and Jo Snell  became the owners of  Greenways Press which prints the newspaper and distributes it around the world.

The Norfolk Window to the World

 

The Norfolk Window to the world is printed weekly. The newspaper for visitors to the island with articles of local interest and all that is happening on Norfolk Island. The Window is owned by Wally and Nicky Beadman

Norfolk Online - Norfolk Island's  online news website.

Norfolk Online is the email version of the Norfolk window to the world, which is printed each week for locals and people who have visited Norfolk Island. Norfolk Island's first online news website is where local news as well as news of interest to our visitors and locals is available. owned by Gaelene Christian and Wally Beadman

A Privately owned television service which runs visitor information and cultural style programmes with footage from days gone by. 

Internet Service Providers:

Affordable Internet access was introduced to Norfolk in May, 1998.  This truly has brought the world to our island, and with it new resources with which to conduct business and educate our young.

We presently have two Service Providers.
