All passengers travelling to Norfolk Island are advised to purchase travel insurance prior to commencement of travel as Medicare does not apply on Norfolk Island

Persons travelling to Norfolk Island require a current passport and in certain instances a valid visa for re-entry into Australia or New Zealand.  If in doubt, contact your travel agent or national Embassy.

Regular air services are provided to the Island.  From New Zealand - by Air New Zealand and from Australia (Sydney and Brisbane) -  by Norfolk Air .  Both airlines carry freight and mail to the island.

Norfolk Air is a business enterprise operated by the Norfolk Island Government.  The airline draws on the experience and expertise of code share partners OzJet and Qantas for aircraft and ground handling services.

Norfolk Air operates to both Brisbane (currently 3 services per week) and Sydney (currently 4 services per week) .  A service operates from Newcastle (NSW) on a Monday and from Melbourne on a Friday.

Norfolk Air works very closely both in Australia and in Norfolk Island with travel agents and their  wholesalers who package those great holidays to our island home.
